Revived party leadership pragmatism, inclusive of youth and women, and modernised party structures to win electoral trust. Continued respect for the rule of law, accountability, and democratic renewal within the party and national politics.

I envision a united, multi‑ethnic Sierra Leone where merit and integrity prevail; an economy re‑balanced through diversification (responsible mining, sustainable agriculture, tourism, fisheries, aquaculture, technology); universal access to quality education, healthcare, water and electricity; improved infrastructure and digital transformation; and broad‑based SME growth to generate jobs and restore dignity to citizens
My Pledege
To the APC Party
The APC Party is more than a political entity; it is an idea, a national covenant of constructive nationalism, action, progress, and commitment. My commitment is to restore the party’s dignity, reinstate its founding values, and prepare it to win and govern again in the national interest. Therefore, I pledge to do the following: Restore party unity and institutional discipline, heal divisions, respect constitutional processes, and ensure transparent internal democracy. Rebuild the Party’s organic support in its grassroots across all demographics, wards, constituencies, and district structures to make the APC once again the party of ordinary Sierra Leoneans. Reaffirm principled leadership and promote leaders by merit and service, not by patronage or fear. Support inclusion and secure meaningful representation of youth, women, and persons with disabilities across party decision-making. Act with integrity, submit to a fair process, and defend the party’s members against politicised assaults and oppression. Modernise the organisational capacity of the APC Party, professionalise accreditation, delegate management, communications, and fundraising to meet 21st‑century political demands. Reconnect with the diaspora: institutionalise the Sixth Region as a strategic partner for collaboration, expertise, and international advocacy.
To the People of Sierra Leone
My Campaign offers a narrative beyond slogans, a practical, action-oriented programme anchored on unity, competence, integrity, and grassroots mobilisation, the apparatus the APC needs to win, and the agenda Sierra Leoneans need to prosper. Through the APC Party as my political machinery, I pledge to: Restore national unity through systemic bridge‑building across party, regional, and ethnic lines to restore cohesion. Ensure a mainstream youth‑centred national renewal with large‑scale industrially relevant skills and vocational training, apprenticeships, a youth enterprise fund, national service opportunities, and targeted SME support to create jobs, close the opportunity gap, and ensure homegrown wealth creation. Restore economic renaissance through pragmatic diversification, responsible mining, value-adding agriculture and fisheries, tourism, entertainment, technology, and renewables, with a community benefits focus and environmental safeguards. Restore governance and democratic integrity through purposeful and deliberate public service reforms to strengthen institutions, enforce transparent, responsible, and accountable procurement, and strengthen independent parliamentary oversight, civil society, media, and judicial integrity to restore public trust. Increase investment and accountability in our country’s human resources through need-based and skill-aligned education reforms, healthcare professionalism, and maternal and child health priorities, and enforce professional accountability in service delivery in both the public and private sectors of our economy. Ensure increased and responsible investment in infrastructure and digital transformation with cost-effective road networks, regional connectivity, and a national broadband push to facilitate trade, commerce, and inclusion. Ensure inclusive representation through the deliberate advancement of women, youth, and persons with disabilities into decision-making processes at all levels.
H.E. Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, Former of Sierra Leone
in his Keynote Address at the APC National Youth League Retreat in Port Loko, said: “Young people are the shoulders on which the development of any nation rests. The young people of the APC have shown competence to lead, and any one of my age must resolve to give them the front, for our retirement is assured now. This occasion is one of many in which the APC youth under the leadership of Bai Mahmoud have demonstrated readiness and capability to take up leadership after us, and I am convinced and tempted to entrust you with such generational responsibility” (March 2017)
